HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS REQUIRED

Job Description

• Clifton College in Francistown requires suitably qualified candidates to fill the following posts:
• 1. Deputy Head and English, History/Sociology Teacher
• 2. Business Studies & Accounting Teacher; Travel & Tourism and Business Teacher
• 3. English & Literature Teacher
• 4. Physics Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Teach assigned subjects at Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A-Level
• Administer academic programmes including school examinations
• Coach various sports and cultural activities
• Manage and lead academic programmes where applicable
• Build and maintain strong relationships with students, staff and parents
• Plan, organize and report on academic activities

Qualifications & Experience

• Deputy Head & English/History/Sociology Teacher:
• Minimum Bachelor's degree plus postgraduate teaching qualification
• At least 5 years post-qualification experience teaching English, History/Sociology at Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A-Level
• Ability to administer academic programmes including school examinations
• Strong relationship building and communication abilities
• Previous experience as Head of Academics is an advantage
• Business Studies & Accounting / Travel & Tourism Teacher:
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business & Accounting and Travel & Tourism plus postgraduate teaching qualification
• At least 5 years post-qualification experience at Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A-Level
• Ability to manage the College's Sports Programme and coach various sports activities
• English & Literature Teacher:
• Bachelor's degree plus postgraduate teaching qualification
• At least 3 years post-qualification experience teaching English, Literature and History at Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A-Level
• Ability to coach various sports/cultural activities
• Physics Teacher:
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Physics plus postgraduate teaching qualification
• At least 5 years post-qualification experience teaching Physics at Cambridge IGCSE, AS & A-Level
• At least 2 years experience as Head of Science Department
• Evidence of completion of a Cambridge Professional Development course in Physics
• Ability to coach various sports and cultural activities
