Operations Manager – Hospitality

Job Description

Afro Ventures Botswana (Pty) Ltd T/A andBeyond requires a capable, stable, and energetic Operations Manager – Hospitality. andBeyond is built, almost entirely, on the strength of remarkable people who give passionately to their roles, work tirelessly, and have the guest experience at the core of their focus daily as well as care of both communities and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring 5-star guest experiences
• Responsible for the financial performance of each business unit
• Responsible for the hospitality standards across the Botswana region for all 3 lodges and 3 camps
• Ensuring that the lodges are upheld to a 5 star standard for hospitality experience
• Create, implement, personalise and standardise guest delight experiences across the region
• Compilation of budgets and financial controls including month end processes and payroll
• Operational business reports to the Regional Manager
• Oversight of all the departments at lodge level
• Staff skills development and empathy
• Responsible for health and safety implementation
• Drive community development projects in conjunction with the Wild Impact
• Experience in stock management
• Work closely with the Human Capital Manager to identify and rectify staff training requirements
• Work closely with the Human Capital Manager to draft and ensure a smooth roll out of Development Plans for staff

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality or equivalent
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a hospitality management position
• Valid Drivers’ Licence
