PHARMACIST

Job Description

Emergency Assist 991 invites applications from a suitably qualified and registered Pharmacist to join our professional healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an effective medication-management system in line with BOMRA regulations
• Manage pharmaceutical stock control and expiry-date monitoring
• Maintain controlled-drug registers
• Manage medication reconciliation processes
• Ensure appropriate management and disposal of expired or damaged pharmaceuticals
• Support systems for the authorisation and purchasing of medicines
• Ensure medicines are appropriately received, handled, stored, used and recorded
• Ensure medication-management practices comply with applicable Botswana legislation and medical standards
• Maintain accurate medication-management records
• Prepare monthly medication-management reports

Qualifications & Experience

• Suitably qualified as a Pharmacist
• Current and relevant professional registration/licensing
• Knowledge of BOMRA regulations
• Knowledge of applicable Botswana pharmaceutical legislation and medical standards
• Strong medication-management and pharmaceutical stock-control capabilities
• Strong record-keeping and reporting skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
