WIRE DRAWING MACHINE OPERATORS / FITTERS

Job Description

VACANCIES – SELEBI PHIKWE 24-hour plant, rotating 8-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and repair wire drawing machines including fault-finding, fitting, and repair of critical parts
• Make or re-machine parts in-house using lathe, mill, grinder
• Perform die changing, setting and maintenance while machine is running
• Ensure correct wire rod / steel grades and rolling stock per product
• Draw wire to BS / EN and equivalent SABS standards
• Work night shifts, weekends and public holidays as required

Qualifications & Experience

• 5-6 years’ hands-on experience on wire drawing machines
• Must operate AND repair the machine: fault-finding, fitting, repair of critical parts
• Able to make or re-machine parts in-house (lathe, mill, grinder)
• Die changing, setting and maintenance while running
• Knowledge of wire rod / steel grades and correct rolling stock per product
• Able to draw wire to BS / EN and equivalent SABS standards
• Basic English. No formal qualification required – skill and experience only
• Willing to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays
