Auto Electrician Trainer

Job Description

Redpath is the world’s premier full-service underground mining contractor. Redpath Botswana are excited to be looking for a mix of experienced trade qualified maintenance professionals including (2) Fitter Trainer, (2) Auto Electrician Trainer, for the Jwaneng Underground Mining Development Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing of equipment as per service schedules.
• Liaise with the supervisors on all assistance required with machinery services, etc.
• Correctly use and maintain all tooling and equipment used to carry out maintenance duties.
• Repairs to equipment efficiently and consistent with the required standard of work.
• Assist with special projects both on the surface and underground.
• Assist operational and trades teams as required within competency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Electrical Trade Certificate / Electrical License.
• Current Working at heights certificate (Electrical specific).
• Basic Rigging and Slinging certificate.
• Driver’s Licence.
• First Aid & CPR certificate.
• High Voltage switching license.
• Minimum 5 years’ underground mining experience.
• In-depth and extensive knowledge and application of contemporary underground mining practices to maximise safety and productivity.
