Civil Engineer in Industrial Construction and QA/QC

Job Description

Suitably qualified candidates are invited for the above-mentioned post at Metal Ventures (Pty) Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor all QC/OC as per protocols.
• Prepare reports on the performance of contractors on civil engineering.
• Assesses and approves design and proposals on solutions to problems related to civil engineering.
• Undertakes feasibility studies for suitability of local produced materials or method of construction.
• Analyses and process payment vouchers relating to payment of consultants, contractors and recommend as appropriate.
• Prepares budget relating to civil engineering components of the project.
• Provide advice to the projects director on all maters relating to civil engineering and compliance with relevant acts, code of conduct, regulations and safety requirements.
• Provide job training to junior officers on design principles, installation and maintenance techniques.
• Undertakes any other responsibilities and duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Applicants should have registered with Engineers Registration Board (ERB).
• Four (4) years of relevant work experience in the management of Industrial and complex project. Should have worked continuously for minimum of 4 years in Quality Assurance and Quality Control in this type of Projects. Experience in heavy pour casting and QC codes and certification in Quality Management will be an added advantage.
