ADMINISTRATION SUPERVISOR

Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above vacancy that has arisen within First Mutual Health Proprietary Limited – Botswana.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising and managing claims assessment activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims.
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing claims procedures, workflows, and operational controls.
• Managing complex, high-value, foreign, staff, and ex gratia claims, including claim adjudication and benefit adjustments.
• Monitoring claims performance and implementing strategies to manage claims ratios and costs.
• Leading wellness strategy implementation and coordinating wellness programs and initiatives.
• Managing relationships with healthcare service providers, including accreditation, engagement, and dispute resolution.
• Maintaining claims and service provider data integrity within organizational systems.
• Supervising and developing team members within the Administration department.
• Preparing weekly, monthly, and annual management reports and contributing to departmental budgeting processes.
• Resolving client, member, and service provider queries while ensuring high standards of customer service.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Diploma in Nursing or a Health-related Degree.
• A qualification in Forensics and/or Health Management will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience within a medical aid or a related healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of medical claims assessment, healthcare funding, and provider management.
• Proven supervisory and people management experience.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and sound decision-making ability.
