OCCUPATIONAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONER / DOCTOR

Job Description

Emergency Assist 991 invites applications from suitably qualified and registered Medical Practitioners with occupational health and emergency medicine capabilities to join our Medical Team. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership, medical oversight and professional guidance in support of Emergency Assist 991’s healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and medical advisory services
• Manage and oversee occupational injuries and medical emergencies
• Provide medical consultations and clinical guidance
• Provide professional oversight of treatment plans and prescribed medications
• Support emergency response teams and emergency intervention measures
• Authorise and coordinate patient referrals where required
• Support and coordinate medical evacuations
• Provide clinical guidance to nurses and paramedics
• Participate in clinical governance, patient-care reviews and clinical audits
• Support occupational health and medical surveillance programmes

Qualifications & Experience

• Recognised Medical Degree
• Current professional registration and licence to practise
• Suitable occupational medicine qualifications and/or experience
• Strong clinical leadership capabilities
• Experience managing medical emergencies and occupational injuries
• Ability to provide professional clinical oversight to multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Experience in mining, industrial or other high-risk environments will be advantageous
