Job Description

The University of Botswana (UB), a premier state-owned tertiary institution dedicated to shaping the future through excellence, research, innovation and meaningful societal impact, invites applications from accomplished and suitably qualified professionals for the position of Professor/ Associate Professor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management under the School of Management Sciences and Law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in at least two of the following: Research Methods, Logistics Systems Management, Procurement and Contract Management, Strategic Supply Chain Management, Public Procurement Legal Framework, International Logistics, Transportation Management and Warehousing Cube and Utilization
  • Supervise post graduate and undergraduate student’s projects as need may arise
  • Participate in the academic, governance and social engagement in Supply Chain Management and related disciplines, including Logistics and Procurement

Qualifications & Experience

  • a relevant bachelor’s degree, plus a relevant master’s degree and Doctorate (PhD) in Supply Chain Management or a cognate discipline within Logistics and Procurement
  • at least NINE years of relevant teaching experience at a university or comparable institution
  • a minimum of 24 pieces of research products (e.g. articles, book chapters, peer-reviewed conference proceedings, etc.) published by recognised publishers
