Professor/Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship

Job Description

The University of Botswana (UB), a premier state-owned tertiary institution dedicated to shaping the future through excellence, research, innovation and meaningful societal impact, invites applications from accomplished and suitably qualified professionals for the position of Professor/ Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Development under the School of Management Sciences and Law.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in at least two of the following: Enterprise Creation and Management; Project Management; Corporate Entrepreneurship; Venture Creation Practice; Business Intelligence & Data Analysis for Entrepreneurship; Innovation and Creativity; Social Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital.
• Supervise post graduate and undergraduate student’s projects as need may arise;
• Participate in academic, governance and social engagement in Entrepreneurship or related field;
• Contribute to the departmental research outputs through collaborative research and supervision of students’ research projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
• Contribute to the development of and implement university, faculty and school level strategies, policies, plans, and procedures;

Qualifications & Experience

• A relevant Bachelor’s degree, A relevant Master’s degree and PhD/Doctorate in Entrepreneurship;
• at least nine (9) years of relevant teaching experience in Entrepreneurship at a university or comparable institution;
• a minimum of twenty four (24) pieces of research products (e.g. articles, book chapters, peer-reviewed conference proceedings, etc.) published by recognised publishers.
