Job Description

The University of Botswana (UB), a premier state-owned tertiary institution dedicated to shaping the future through excellence, research, innovation and meaningful societal impact, invites applications from accomplished and suitably qualified professionals for the position of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Accounting in the Department Accounting under the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of and implementation of university, faculty and school level strategies, policies, plans, and procedures;
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Accounting and related areas;
• Supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects;
• Conduct research in the specialize areas of Accounting and also complement existing research activities;
• Participate in other academic and professional activities of the department;

Qualifications & Experience

• a PhD/Doctoral degree in Accounting or related field;
• a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• at least three (3) years of teaching experience at a university or comparable institution;
• An excellent cumulative and sustained record of research and publications with at least 6 pieces of research outputs and sustained recognised publishers, 4 of which should be articles in refereed or accredited journals internationally recognized indexing databases.
