Graduate Mining Engineer

Job Description

The company continues to invest in the recruitment and development of graduates with a view of establishing a talent pipeline of young people who will become future leaders and fill scarce skill roles within the organisation. This Two (2) year structured program aims to cultivate a pipeline of capable professionals within the various business units of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the mining team with project engineering, developing mine plans / schedules along with supporting and reviewing drill and blast designs.
• Support the mining team with contractor management.
• Gain exposure into all technical functions of mining (dewatering, mine planning, project engineering and mine design, Drill & Blast & Survey).
• Provide technical support to the contractor in relation to short term mine planning and related project tasks.
• Assist with managing reporting systems such as the end of month contractor production quantities & production databases.
• Collaborate with mining engineers in auditing contractor drill and blast QAQC performance & operational efficiencies.
• Ensure safe systems of work are incorporated into all tasks and work plans.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Should have graduated with First Class (1) or Second-Class Upper Division (2:1)
• Should have graduated between the years 2023 and 2025.
• Entry Level Position.
• Registered or eligibility for registration with Engineers Registration Board (ERB).
• Valid Botswana Class B Driver’s License
