Job Description

• RE-ADVERTISEMENT: WIRE DRAWING MACHINE OPERATORS/TECHNICIANS/ FITTERS (6 posts)
• Location: Selebi-Phikwe I 24-hour plant, rotating 8-hour shifts
• This is a continuation of the advert issued on 15 September 2026. Previous applicants are welcome to apply again.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and repair wire drawing machines including fault-finding, fitting and repair of critical parts
• Make or re-machine parts in-house using lathe, mill, grinder
• Perform die changing, setting and maintenance
• Work rotating 8-hour shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience on wire drawing machines
• Must operate AND repair the machine, including fault-finding, fitting and repair of critical parts
• Able to make or re-machine parts in-house (lathe, mill, grinder)
• Die changing, setting and maintenance
• Knowledge of wire rod and steel grades
• Basic English is required
• No academic results required. You must show proof of running a wire drawing plant, either in Botswana or outside Botswana.
• Willing to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays
