Job Description

The Botswana-UPenn Partnership is a mutually beneficial collaboration between the Government of Botswana, the University of Botswana and the University of Pennsylvania that builds capacity in the fields of clinical medicine, research and enhances academic life. We seek outstanding dynamic, self-motivated & qualified individuals to apply for the position of Fellow in Paediatric Global Health – Emphasis Adolescent Medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervised clinical consultations seeing patients age 11 to 26 years
• If paediatrics trained, supervised paediatric gynaecology consultations
• Teach in topics of adolescent and young adult health and well-being
• Co-create curriculum for adolescent health training for residents and future fellowship
• Develop expertise in medical education
• Develop research expertise with option to do online master’s degree
• Develop leadership and advocacy skills related to adolescent health

Qualifications & Experience

• Must have completed a paediatric, internal medicine or family medicine residency
• Have a passion for adolescents.
• Must hold a license to practice medicine in Botswana under your primary specialty
• Botswana citizens will be given priority but all relevant specialists may apply.
