Job Description

Table 05 Café (Pty) Ltd is a fast-growing restaurant committed to providing exceptional dining experiences through outstanding food, excellent customer service, and operational excellence. We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and results-oriented Catering Manager to lead all restaurant operations and drive the continued growth of our business. This is a senior management position responsible for the overall performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, and day-to-day management of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the overall operations of Table 05 Café.
• Leading, motivating, training, and supervising all restaurant staff.
• Ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Planning, coordinating, and supervising all catering services, private functions, and special events.
• Developing innovative menus in collaboration with the Head Chef.
• Managing food production to ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Monitoring food, beverage, and operational costs to maximize profitability.
• Preparing and managing departmental budgets.
• Managing stock control, procurement, inventory, and supplier relationships.
• Managing stock control, procurement, inventory, and supplier relationships.
• Ensuring compliance with Botswana health, food safety, hygiene, and occupational safety regulations.
• Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Driving restaurant sales through promotions, marketing initiatives, and customer engagement.
• Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial reports.
• Managing staff scheduling, leave administration, performance appraisals, and disciplinary matters.
• Ensuring proper cash handling procedures and safeguarding company assets.
• Resolving customer complaints professionally and promptly.
• Building relationships with corporate clients for catering opportunities.
• Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Performing any other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Hotel Management, Catering Management, Food Service Management, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a busy restaurant, café, hotel, or catering establishment.
• Proven leadership experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of restaurant financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards, HACCP principles, and hygiene regulations.
• Experience managing catering events and corporate functions will be an added advantage.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• A valid Botswana Driver’s License will be an added advantage.
