Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage our daily financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate accounting records. You will oversee budgeting, processing transactions, and analyzing financial data to support strategic business decisions. As a key member of our finance team, your work will ensure the financial health, stability, and integrity of our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Operations: Oversee daily transactions, invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records.
  • Process Payroll: Calculate monthly salaries, manage tax deductions, and ensure timely employee payments.
  • Reconcile Accounts: Perform regular bank reconciliations and verify ledger balances for absolute accuracy.
  • Prepare Reports: Compile monthly financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and profit-and-loss reports.
  • Assist Budgeting: Help department heads draft annual budgets and monitor ongoing spending variances.
  • Ensure Compliance: Prepare tax returns, manage statutory filings, and support internal and external audits.
  • Analyze Data: Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide financial insights to the management team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field.
  • Certification: Professional certification (such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) is highly preferred.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software like Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
  • Financial Knowledge: Deep understanding of standard bookkeeping, tax laws, and financial regulations.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to numerical detail, strong analytical thinking, and high ethical standards.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial data to non-finance teams.
