Job Description

CBZ Reinsurance Brokers Botswana (Pty) Ltd, a newly licensed reinsurance broking company in Botswana, seeks the services of a COUNTRY MANAGER. The incumbent will provide strategic leadership and overall accountability for the subsidiary, directing the implementation of business plans to ensure financial performance, compliance, and profitability. Duties include treaty and facultative placements, treaty accounting, claims administration, credit control, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years’ professional experience with at least 3 years in a senior management role, including international reinsurance and cross-border placements. The individual must be of good standing and eligible for regulatory clearance with NBFIRA. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related field;
• Professional qualifications including ACII or AIISA.
• Proven expertise in international reinsurance markets and cross-border placements.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
