COMPETITION & CONSUMER TRIBUNAL is looking for a qualified and experienced HEAD OF HR AND STRATEGY to join their team in Gaborone. Please review the key responsibilities and qualifications listed below for more details on this full time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, cascading and implementation of the Tribunal’s corporate strategic plan in line with the Competition Act.
• Develop and implement a human capital strategy aligned with the Tribunal’s priorities.
• Advise the Registrar and senior management on attracting, developing and retaining talent and building a high-performance culture.
• Assess the impacts of people’s key initiatives and integrate measures to mitigate related risks.
• Translate the strategic plan into annual performance plans and align team and individual objectives.
• Foster an inclusive, innovative and healthy workplace that supports learning, engagement and growth.
• Develop progressive, best-practice people policies that support talent attraction and retention.
• Maintain constructive employee relations through transparent, legally compliant practices.
• Lead organisational improvement using effective change and transition management.
• Advise senior management on strategic and operational human capital matters.
• Measure and report on the performance and value of the HR and Strategy Unit.
• Lead, support and develop HR and Strategy Unit staff to deliver quality results.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Management or a related field.
• Current, verifiable membership of a recognised Human Resources professional body.
• A Master’s Degree in Management or a related field will be an added advantage.
