Quality Controller

Job Description

AECI Mining is looking for a qualified and experienced Quality Controller to join their team in Gaborone. Please review the key responsibilities and qualifications listed below for more details on this full time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Calibration of MMUs
• Adherence to calibration of MMUs, Scales and lifting equipment
• Field support in other regions
• On-bench calibration of MMUs and quality support
• Perform engineering inspections, identify problems area and implement proactive maintenance
• Be actively involved in World Class initiatives
• Perform safety and health inspections and implement corrective action
• Perform any other related tasks as may be required from time to time
• Ensure that quality specifications are met and operational losses are minimized

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric
• Qualified Artisan (Trade Test/Red Seal) Electrical or Mechanical
• Pneumatic, electronics and hydraulic experience will be an advantage
• Drive Licence
• At least 5 years of relevant experience (preferably mining environment)
• Must be able to perform overtime duties and standby
• PLC fault-finding experience will be an advantage
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, as dealing with customers will be an essential part of the duties
