OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSES

Job Description

Emergency Assist 991 is seeking experienced and suitably qualified Occupational Health Nurses to join our professional Medical & Emergency Response Team. This opportunity is suited to experienced occupational health professionals who are comfortable operating within demanding and high-risk workplace environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational health nursing services
• Support workplace medical surveillance programmes
• Assess and manage occupational injuries and illnesses
• Provide emergency and primary healthcare support
• Participate in pre-employment, periodic and exit medical processes
• Support workplace health promotion and wellness programmes
• Assist with communicable and non-communicable disease programmes
• Maintain accurate and confidential occupational health records
• Support infection prevention and control programmes
• Participate in emergency preparedness activities and exercises

Qualifications & Experience

• Recognised Nursing qualification
• Relevant Occupational Health qualification/competency
• Current professional registration
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in a mining environment or high-risk workplace
• Strong occupational health and clinical assessment capabilities
• Knowledge and experience in workplace medical surveillance
• Ability to respond effectively to workplace medical emergencies
• Ability to work rotational and/or shift-based schedules
